Tile/Stack editors grayed out

Hi,
In the Window menu Tile and Stack editors section is grayed out and I cant find a way to fix it:

Obviously I'm missing something in Preferences... Any help would be appreciated.

Also, when I open (double click) .xslt files, they are opened in a tiled editor (the xslt files go to one editor and all the other files - to another) - how can I stop this behavior? I'm using Oxygen xml editor 23.1.

Hello,

Given your description, you are in the "XSLT Debugger perspective". This perspective forces a fixed layout that groups and tiles XSLT files in the right tile and all other types of XML files in the left tile. They are grouped this way for XSLT debugging so you can see side by side the XML source on the left and XSL stylesheet on the right.

Try switching to the "Editor perspective", Window > Open Perspective > Editor (or use the top right toolbar icons).
