Ox forgets my db password under Linux

Post by paul »

Problem with Oxygen 8.1
polpols@typhon:~$ uname -a
Linux typhon 2.6.17-11-generic #2 SMP Thu Feb 1 19:52:28 UTC 2007 i686 GNU/Linux
polpols@typhon:~$ java -version
java version "1.5.0_08"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_08-b03)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0_08-b03, mixed mode, sharing)

when I configure a database connexion with password and click accept
oxygen8.1 loses my password.
It's like it has never been stored. so with ox in linux I can't connect with any DB.
(I tried mysql and exist)
but it works with my OSX Tiger.
I explain.
1. the db data source is ok
2. I edit the connexion with driver, username, password
3. I click accept
4. I reedit the connexion
5. I see nothing in the password field

Hello,

There was a problem with storing the connection password on computers where the local host name is not mapped to an IP address. Now we fixed it and the fix will be available in the next version of oXygen, that is version 8.2. You can download an All platforms install kit of oXygen that includes the fix from here.

Regards,
Sorin
