XML Editor 8.1 jitters sometimes

hi everybody,

i would like to purchase a license of the editor and therefore i downloaded a trial version. now i see the application is jittering irregularly. what does this cause? Any suggestions?

the application is running on a new laptop core duo/xp, xml editor build: 2007012412

Please provide more details about that. Can you specify what steps we should take to reproduce the behavior you observed? Also it will be helpful to know some more data about your environment, like operating system and Java version.

i started the application and opened 3 files, 1 xml and 2 xsl files. i did not do anymore only waiting and seeing the application jittering sometimes.

The system configuration is:
Windows XP Prof. Version 2002, SP2
Intel T2300/1.66 MHz/1GB RAM
Mobile Intel 945GM Express 128 MB
Display resolution: 1024x768
Java -version: 1.5.0_06, Java Runtime Env, Std Edition (build 1.5.0_06-b05)
Java HotSpot Client VM (build 1.5.0_06-b05, mixed mode, sharing)
McAfee VirusScan Enterprise Workstation 8.0.0 (ePolicy Orchestra Agent: Version: 3.6.0.453)

Hi Alec,

That seems strange. Can you specify what exactly happens, what do you mean by jittering?
I have a similar configuration, except that I use Java 1.6 - maybe you can try also with the kit that includes a JVM (that will be a 1.6 JVM) and let us know.

i installed the jre 1.6 and now its seems the application is running correctely. No jittering.
jittering = (for me) when the application flickers/a bit similar is pressing F5 when you run the windows file explorer.

Installing jre 1.6 fixed it. Thanks George!
