Enabling connection to MarkLogic XDBC server with SSL?

I am increasing security on my MarkLogic hosts by converting app servers to use SSL. But it looks like I can't do this for any XDBC server that I need to connect to with oXygen, as the oXygen connector doesn't appear to support an SSL connection.

In other words, I have configured oXygen as described here: https://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/versions/ ... ction.html

and everything works fine until the server is set to use SSL. Then the oXygen connection returns the error: "Error parsing HTTP headers: connection reset by peer".

Is there any workaround, or should this be a feature request to add SSL support for the MarkLogic connection? It is not mission-critical but best practice would be to use an SSL connection.

I have registered an internal issue to add this support. Thank you for providing hints in this direction. Unfortunately, this is not something that can work without us making changes in the code base. We will let you know as soon as an Oxygen release with this feature becomes available.

Thanks, Alex. Since the XDBC connection requires authentication via username/password, adding SSL support would be a good security enhancement.

Alex or anyone: using oXygen with an SSL-enabled XDBC server still doesn't seem to work in version 25.0. Is this feature request still active in the tracking system? (I thought that was at http://issues.oxygenxml.com/ but maybe it moved?)

Unfortunately it didn't make it in version 25. I've added a +1 for the feature and I will bring it in the talks for the next version roadmap. At some point in the past, we had a public interface to our issue system, but not anymore. For your reference, this feature request ID is EXM-45856.
