Footnote links not resolving
Post by anna_oneal123 »
After adding some fn tags to my content, the footnote numbers both in the content and at the bottom of the HTML output display correctly. They are hyperlinks as well, but those links don't work. Also, whenever I click one, it appends the URL with the the IDs (example: csm_system_requirements.html#fnsrc_11#fntarg_1). Every time I click a footnote, it appends a new ID. Is there a way to fix this problem? I'm using Oxygen v21.

Re: Footnote links not resolving
Hi Anna,
I've just tested this, using the latest version and build of oXygen XML (v21.1, build 2019120214) available on our website, but could not reproduce the behavior your reported on a local WebHelp Responsive output. Are you using an older/different version?
The id's seem to remain unchanged and the footnotes work as expected (clicking on a footnote, it takes me to the correct location of the footnote definition in the topic page).
To investigate further, you should send us (you could use either the online technical support form, or the official email - support@oxygenxml.com for that) a source DITA topic that contains the footnotes which reproduce the issue and, if possible, also a link to the output where this behavior is reproducible.
Best Regards,
Costin
