Install in new or old directory

I downloaded the v8.0 upgrade, but I noticed when I run the installer that it wants to install in a different directory that my current version. Do I install in a separate directory and uninstall the old version, or will it overwrite the current version?

Hello,

You should install in a different directory. You can use the default directory offered by the installer. If you select the same directory as an old version the common files will be overwritten but there are possible some conflicts when you run the new version. There is no conflict with older versions if they are installed in different directories so you should uninstall them only if you want to have only the latest version installed.

The Windows installer offers the option of keeping the old versions when the latest version is installed or upgrading to the latest version which means uninstalling automatically the old ones.
