Signature Validation failed
Hi,
if i sign an element in example file "personal.xml", such "robert.taylor" a signer info will be inserted in the current xml file. Thats ok. But after that if i change the content of the element "robert.taylor", the signature validation dialog shows me a correct signature. I think this is wrong
, because i changed the content of the signed element. So the resulting hash value from this element may no longer match the decrypted hash value from the signature.
P.S. in element "robert.taylor" i changed the name "robert" in element "given" to "roberto".
Thanks.
Mike

Re: Signature Validation failed
Hello Mike,
I cannot reproduce the problem. Maybe you can give me more details about your signing options and Oxygen version.
I signed the "robert.taylor" element from "personal.xml" using the following options: Transformation=none, id='robert.taylor', Envelope, Append KeyInfo check, Signature algorithm="RSA with SHA1".
I tested with <oXygen/> XML Editor 20.1, build 2018101517. The keystore type for my certificate is JKS.
Best Regards,
Octavian
