Where are scenarios stored?
Hi,
I need to take over my scenarios from my old notebook to my new one.
Problem: I cannot start Oxygen on the old one anymore.
So where are they stored so that I can move them without exporting?
Thanks a lot
Silke

Re: Where are scenarios stored?
Hi,
What OS is your notebook using (Windows, OS X, Linux)?
By default scenarios are stored at project level, so in the project (.xpr) file you are using.
If you weren't even aware you were using a project file, you were most likely using the samples project file that oxygen provides.
The samples project file (sample.xpr) can usually be found in the Documents folder from your user account within the OxygenXMLEditor/samples folder.
Scenarios can also be stored in the at global level (in the application preferences) which are kept in the user profile.
You will most likely also want to keep your preferences. Depending on the platform the preferences folder is located as follows:
- Windows Vista/7/8/10 - <user-home-folder>\AppData\Roaming\com.oxygenxml
- Mac OS X - <user-home-folder>/Library/Preferences/com.oxygenxml
- Linux - <user-home-folder>/.com.oxygenxml
In Windows if you have trouble locating the AppData folder(it is hidden), open Windows Explorer, type in the Address bar %APPDATA% and press Enter.
If you are using Oxygen XML Author then the folder is named com.oxygenxml.author.
If you are using Oxygen XML Developer then the folder is named com.oxygenxml.developer.

Adrian
