Find & replace: extend autofill memory?

Hi,

I've devised a 19-step semi-automatic process to add attributes to large batches of files. It's a great time-saver that the find & replace dialogue box remembers (most of) these steps so I don't have to keep retyping them, each time I do a batch. However, the dropdown menu only seems to store the last 15 actions. Can that be extended to 19 or 20 actions?

Hello,

The size of the dropdown lists for both searches and replacements in the "Find/Replace" dialog is fixed to a maximum of 15 entries. As this setting is hardcoded in oXygen, the limit can not be raised.
However, could you please elaborate a bit about your use-case? Do you need to have more than 15 totally different entries?

Maybe you could obtain the expected results by using some regex in your searches.
Have you tried using regular expressions to match specific patterns?

Hi Costin,

I don't know regex well enough to be able to do that, I'm afraid (and I don't have time to experiment). I'm a dab hand at Microsoft Word find & replace and just draw on those skills. In addition, some of the steps depend on a specific order being followed.

It's not a big problem. I just wondered if there was an option somewhere to change that and you've answered my question perfectly.
