Enquiry regarding any free features for AI Positron Addon
Hi,
We are currently using Oxygen with Professional licenses. If we upgrade to version 27, will any AI features be included at no additional cost, or do all AI-related features require a separate license, even for Professional users?
Thanks,
Dinesh

Re: Enquiry regarding any free features for AI Positron Addon
Hi Dinesh,
The add-on in itself is commercial.
There are two flavors of the add-on, both explained here:
https://blog.oxygenxml.com/topics/ai_po ... __overview
The only case when you would not pay extra would be if you install the AI Positron Enterprise add-on (which requires you to connect it to your own AI engine) and have licenses of Oxygen XML Enterprise (but you have Professional).
Regards,
Radu

Great, thank you for the reply. So, our only option would be to either purchase a Professional license or upgrade to Oxygen Enterprise. Sounds good!
Thanks again,
Dinesh

Also, Most of the features, that the AI Actions support are leaning towards content generation for DITA. Do you have any plans to extend such actions to support Docbook formats as well?
Thanks,
Dinesh.
Thanks,
Dinesh.

Hi Dinesh,
Indeed most of our predefined AI actions work with DITA XML. We do not have plans to create similar actions for DocBook.
But a company can create their own custom AI actions:

Hi,
Thank you for the information.
Is it possible to hide the existing prompts provided by Oxygen? We only use DocBook, so displaying DITA-specific actions to our writers may cause some confusion.
Thanks,
Dinesh

Re: Enquiry regarding any free features for AI Positron Addon
Hi Dinesh,
In general the DITA specific AI actions should not show up at all when editing DocBook documents. So AI actions when defined can be targeted for a certain XML vocabulary.
And you can also entirely exclude AI actions, there is a setting in the AI Positron preferences page for this.
