Re: Can Oxygen work with the SDL Live Content CCMS?
You are right, SDL does have an "authoring bridge" for Oxygen now. Here is an announcement about it that I found: http://www.sdl.com/community/blog/details/31372/together-at-last-sdl-livecontent-oxygen-a-winning-combination I got a copy of this bridge from my client. However it's for Oxyge...

Can Oxygen work with the SDL Live Content CCMS?
I have a client who uses DITA with SDL and XMetal, but Oxygen's forms-based authoring capability would be very useful. Will Oxygen work with SDL, like over WebDav or some other method?

How to turn on standard output pane in 15.0?
In oxygen 15.0 I'm running the DITA Open Toolkit and I can't get the log output to display as it runs. This was turned on by default in Oxygen 14.2. How do I turn it on? I don't even know what to call it so I'm not sure what to search for in the help.
Thanks
Thanks

validate XHTML doc with DTD and schema
How can I validate an XHTML doc that has an embedded W3C Schema namespace? I have the MadCap.xsd schema referenced below. (This is a MadCap Flare file.) Here is the head of the XHTML file: <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xmlns:MadCap="http://www.madcapsoftware.com/Schemas/M...

Re: DITA OT, using an alternate Customization dir
Thanks Radu, that works. I failed to notice the New button on the Parameters tab. That might have been because I read the online help for the Parameters tab, and the second sentence is "All the parameters that can be set to the DITA-OT build files for the chosen type of transformation (eg: XHTM...

DITA OT, using an alternate Customization dir
How can I use the DITA Open Toolkit customization.dir parameter so I can use a different Customization dir for PDF output? I have tried the Advanced tab in the Edit DITA Scenario dialog box, Additional arguments field. Can't get it to work.
Thanks,
Mark

Author CSS "not" operator?
I want to stop the display in Author mode of an element that does NOT have a certain attribute. I was hoping for something like this but I can't find it in the help: /* do not display <myElement myAttribute="..." */ myElement:not(myAttribute) { display:none; } Is there a negation function ...

automatically add nested topics to bookmap?
My source files are <dita> with embedded topics like this: <dita> <concept/> <concept/> <concept/> </dita> I add these <dita> topics to a bookmap for PDF output, and I make a child link to each nested topic like this: <bookmap> <booktitle/> <frontmatter/> <chapter href="api_syntax.xml"> <t...

Re: Author 11.2 table columns can't be dragged
So, to clarify, the original table as it was saved by FrameMaker had no colspec elements but had colname attributes in entry elements. Did I get that right? Not quite. To be fair to FrameMaker (version 7.2), I went back and did a test, and FrameMaker did add colspec elements in addition to colname ...

Re: Author 11.2 table columns can't be dragged
Hi Adrian, I figured out the problem. I converted these DITA files from unstructured FrameMaker, and when Framemaker saves the file to XML it adds colname attributes. Then Oxygen added colspec elements with colname attributes that didn't match the existing. I found I could fix it two ways: remove al...

Author 11.2 table columns can't be dragged
I have DITA files with tables in Oxygen Author 11.2. On some tables I can't drag table columns to size them. I click a table column and drag it, then I get the Resize table columns dialog, then I choose either of the options and click yes. colspecs are added to the table. Then I click and drag a col...

Re: Xerces error in Oxygen v10 but not v9
Never mind, I figured it out. The .xsd schema file that validates that doctype was corrupted and the error was coming from the .xsd file, not the XML file I had open. When I replaced it with a clean .xsd file, the problem went away. Thanks anyway!

Xerces error in Oxygen v10 but not v9
When I open one of several XML files in Oxygen v10 I get this error:
F [Xerces] Invalid byte 1 of 1-byte UTF-8 sequence.
I see nothing in the files that's wrong. If I open the same files in Oxygen version 9 there are no errors.
Any ideas? Thanks.

Author DITA xref display
In Author DITA mode, is there a way to turn off display of the xref path when I add an xref? When I add an xref in a small table cell, the extra path and filename info really messes up the table display. I do not need to see the path info at all. Even with tags off it still appears.
