Error Opening DITA Map in Oxygen XML Editor v28 on Windows 10

Hi all,
I’m having an issue opening a .ditamap file in Oxygen XML Editor v28 on Windows 10. When I try to open the file, the editor freezes for a few seconds and then shows:

Unable to load the DITA map due to XML parsing error at line 12

I’ve validated the XML, removed some topic references, and even tried another machine, but the problem persists.

Has anyone seen this issue before or can suggest a fix?

Hi,

This is not related to the Oxygen installation, settings, or invalid topic references in the DITA Map, the error is more severe, either the DITA Map XML document is not wellformed or the DTD referenced by it is not wellformed.
If you open the DITA Map in the Oxygen main editor area and validate it can you see the precise content of the line 12 where the error is given?
Can you maybe paste that line in a followup post in a codeblock?
