How to automatically update cross-references in Oxygen XML when source IDs change?
Hi everyone,
I often restructure large XML documents in Oxygen, which sometimes requires changing element IDs. Currently, all my cross-references break when an ID is updated, and I have to manually fix each xref. Is there a built-in way or a plugin in Oxygen XML Editor/Author that can automatically update all cross-references whenever the source element IDs change?
Thanks for any guidance!

Re: How to automatically update cross-references in Oxygen XML when source IDs change?
Hi,
Are you using a local project or do you have your resources on a remote CMS?
I will assume the former?
Do you have in the Oxygen "Project" view configured your project folder? If not you should create a new project in the Oxygen Project view with a reference to your project folder.
Then if you open a DITA XML topic and right click inside the element which has the ID that has to be changed, the contextual menu should have a "Manage IDs->Rename IDs" action. The action should show a dialog allowing you to rename the ID and to choose the scope of the rename operation. You can choose either Project scope or a custom defined working set.

Radu
