imagemap area CSS

I would like to change imagemap CSS somehow. Is there a way to do this? Is there a way to change anything regarding imagemap?

Hi,

Could you please provide us more details about your use-case and what would you like to achieve? Do you need to change the CSS for imagemap in Author mode (when you edit the documents) or in an output (for instance, WebHelp Responsive)?

We have a lot of diagrams in our documentation, but on only some of them we used imagemap plugin. Our clients often miss these because they are not used to imagemap. We want to somehow "highlight" the boxes that normally show up upon hovering over .area property, for example make it always as it is hovered over but with different color.

Unfortunately this is not possible using the current implementation of the WebHelp plugin.
However, we already have an improvement request logged in our internal tracking system, so I've just added your vote for it and we will notify this thread when / if this will get implemented.

Hi,

Oxygen 28.0 is out! In this version you can enable the webhelp.show.image.map.areas parameter in WebHelp Responsive transformation in order to always display image maps areas (not only on hover).
