Running oXygen Author 14 on a netbook

Post by burbles »

I'm shortly running a training course using Author 14, and I've had a request from someone who has a "netbook with Windows 7". I presume its performance is typical of others - Intel Atom 1.6GHz with 10-inch screen. Would Author run comfortably on it?

Hi,

It should work. It will probably be a little sluggish immediately after starting, but after it "warms up", it will work fine. The amount of system memory is also important for Oxygen. If the netbook has at least 1GB of RAM you should be able to use Oxygen Author in decent conditions.

Obviously, it will run way better with a dual core CPU and 2GB or more of RAM (the recommended configuration).
