Trouble configuring MathFlow to work with oXygen editor

Post by plnwhite »

Hello

I can't seem to get MathFlow working when I try to edit math elements in DITA topics. I've updated the paths to the containing folder and licence in my Preferences and I've selected the right editor version(so far as I'm aware), but still the only editor I can access is the MathML default.

Am I missing something obvious here?

Hello,

The only obvious thing to miss is restarting Oxygen. But I guess you eventually did that.

Documentation on how to configure MathFlow in Oxygen can be found here:
http://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/ug-oxygen/ ... ditor.html

What version and build number of Oxygen are you using(can be seen in Help -> About)?
On what platform are you running Oxygen(Windows XP/Vista, Mac, Linux)?

In my case I've followed these steps:
1. I installed MathFlow SDK 1.9 to: C:\Program Files\MathFlow SDK
2. I saved the MathFlow license file(dessci.lic) to a folder in "Documents"(or "My Documents").
3. I configured in Oxygen(Options -> Preferences -> Editor -> Pages -> Author -> MathML) the Mathflow installation directory(C:\Program Files\MathFlow SDK), the Mathflow license file(dessci.lic) and the preferred editor(Structure Editor in my case).
4. I've restarted Oxygen and created a new DocBook 4 document with MathML(File -> New -> Framework templates -> DocBook4 -> Article with MathML).
5. Double clicking the equation from the Author mode opened the MathFlow editor with the equation.
