How Can I write mathematical formulas in Oxygen (Docbook)

Post by sam »

hello,
I use the oXygen XML Editor and I want to write a small Book
I proceed as follows:
File -> New File -> from Template -> Docbook 5- Book with XInclude
Now I want to write mathematical formulas as exampel potency operations
a^n + b^n = c^n
how can I to make this?
Thank you.
Sam.

Hello,

Try File -> New File -> from Template -> Docbook 5 - Article with MathML

The template contains an example formula. You can edit it by double clicking it. But formula editing is XML centric rather than visual. If you want visual editing you will also need MathFlow, a commercial application specialized in editing formulas.

You can configure MathFlow in Options -> Preferences -> Editor / Pages / Author / MathML.
