Inconsistent Selection modes between eclipse and standalone

Post by jokester01au »

Hi,

There are some significant inconsistencies in behaviour between the eclipse version of Oxygen 8.1 and the standalone version. While this is not serious, it would be good for things to be consistent.

Specifically, when double-clicking on an attribute value, oxygen in eclipse selects the entire attr. value, whereas the standalone version selects only the word within the value. Ctrl-delete in oxygen/eclipse deletes a whole word, whereas in the standalone version it deletes only the current camel-case portion of the word.

There are probably other inconsistencies as well.

It appears that the standalone version behaves much like the eclipse java editor, which I think is good. I think that keystrokes in the eclipse version of oxygen should also be adjusted to match the java editor.

Regards,
Joe.
