Removing Attributes through Content Completion tab?

Our organization is writing in DITA and we recently decided to move from custom constrained DTDs to removing elements from Author mode through the Content Completion tab in the Document type settings. Is it possible to remove attributes through here as well? I've done some experimentation and it doesn't seem to work. If so, do I need to do anything differently in the Filter list to remove an attribute?

Hi,

The "Content Completion" can only be used to filter out elements.
But we have a more flexible approach called the content completion configuration file:
