Adding Hyphenation Dictionaries to built-in Oxygen Chemistry
Post by MarkAStevens_at_GE »
I'm using a customization of the "DITA Map PDF -based on HTML5 and CSS" transformation scenario built into Oxygen. If I'm reading the documentation correctly, this scenario supports a huge number of languages, however, it only has hyphenation dictionaries for a few of them. I need hyphenation dictionaries for 8 of the supported languages that do not have built-in hyphenation dictionaries.
A page on the general Chemistry User Manual (https://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/versions/ ... yling.html) shows how to add TeX hyphenation dictionaries available on Sourceforge. The instructions tell you to put a certain jar file into the [CHEMISTRY_INSTALL_DIR]/lib directory. I cannot figure out what that directory is for the Chemistry engine built into Oxygen.
How do I add hyphenation dictionaries to the Chemistry engine built into Oxygen? (Or, does Oxygen come with extra hyphenation dictionaries that are not mentioned in the documentation?)

Re: Adding Hyphenation Dictionaries to built-in Oxygen Chemistry
Hello,
Indeed, we need to update the documentation. Please read "Oxygen installation directory" instead of "Chemistry installation directory".
So, please follow these steps:
1. Download (https://sourceforge.net/projects/offo/files/) and extract the offo-hyphenation-compiled.zip file.
2. Copy the fop-hyph.jar file to the [OXYGEN_INSTALL_DIR]/lib directory.
3. If you just need a single dictionary, place the .hyp file in the [OXYGEN_INSTALL_DIR]/config/hyph directory. Create that directories if missing.
You may need administrative rights to change files in the installation directory.
Many regards,
Dan
