DITA-OT Integrator missing for Antenna plugin

Post by syed »

Hi,

I am trying to integrate Antenna House PDF5 with Oxygen XML v19. I downloaded the Antenna plugin and copied it to the DITA-OT plugins directory. However, i am unable to see Run DITA-OT Integrator option in Configure Transformation Scenarios UI.

Thanks...

Dear Syed,

In the Oxygen main menu Window->"Show view" you can choose to show the "Transformation Scenarios" view. The view has a drop-down cogwheel-like button in which you should select "Show all scenarios", then search in it for the "Run DITA-OT Integrator" scenario.

Even after Show all scenarios is selected, i don't see DITA-OT Integrator. Please see the screenshot.

Hi Syed,

In an Oxygen installation running with default options the transformation scenario which runs the dita ot integrator should show up in the Transformation Scenarios view. Did you make any changes to the DITA editing framework, especially in the Preferences->"Document Type Associations" page? Did you install any third party framework or add-on in Oxygen?
Anyway, as a workaround you can open a command prompt (a console view), navigate in it to the DITA OT "bin" folder (by default it's "OXYGEN_INSTALL_DIR\frameworks\dita\DITA-OT2.x\bin" and issue the command "dita --install".

Hi Radu,

I don't think i would have configured such advanced options. Maybe IBM would have done that. I ran the command and there was no error reported. So, i guess it was successfull.

The next step to integrate Antenna House plugin is to duplicate DITA Map PDF scenario. However, i don't see it either. So, i duplicated FO PDF and updated the parameters as per the document here
https://github.com/AntennaHouse/pdf5-ml ... ntegration

Now, i am getting an error message that 'pdf5.ml' is not a supported transformation type. Any help is appreciated?

Thanks...

Hi Radu,

I don't think i made any changes to advanced settings. I was able to use command line.

The next step as per this doc is to use DITA Map to PDF scenario. I don't see this scenario either. So, i duplicated FO to PDF scenario and changed the parameters as per this same doc.

Hi Syed,

IBM makes DITA-related customizations to the Oxygen installation kit so they probably removed those transformation scenarios that you cannot find anymore. I'm sorry but I do not know what exactly they remove because I think they do not really want their users to publish from inside Oxygen.
Ideally you could get an Oxygen installation kit from our web site, install it and use it separately for your Antenna House-related publishing.
Our current Oxygen version is 21.1 but we also have a software archive with older versions:
