System Recommendation?

Post by noysh » Thu Jan 12, 2006 11:28 pm

I have a machine I'm currently looking at upgrading. I'm running oxygen 6.2 on Windows XP with a P4 1.3GHz and 283Mb of ram. Often while running other software at the same time, the program positively crawls and slows down everything else with it.

So my question is this:
What numbers does my new machine need to prevent this from being a concern in the future?

I would recommend a P4 at 3GHz with 1 GB of RAM from which you can give to oXygen between 256MB and 500MB as maximum memory depending on the size of the documents you are using and what processing you are doing. You should start with 256MB and if you get any memory complaints in oXygen then increase that.

Best Regards,
