Can't open .docm output file

Using the DITA Map MS Office Word - Experimental transformation scenario, I generated output for a ditamap. However, the output file is a .docm file (Word file with macros) and Windows refuses to open the file, saying in an error message that it did not open the file because it found problems with the file. I tried changing the file extension to .docx but this did not change the result. I'm wondering whether Windows, or perhaps my laptop's security software, does not want to open a file containing macros, or what the problem might otherwise be? Has anyone seen this problem?

Hi Gary,

The DITA Open Toolkit 2.x bundled with Oxygen comes with an extra plugin for converting DITA to Word:

The plugin is open source and we do not control its development. Also we are not very familiar with its internal architecture.
If you can come up with a sample DITA project from which the problem of producing the invalid docm can be reproduced, maybe you could add an issue on the GitHub project.
