XQuery and Berkeley DBXML

Post by plonepaul » Thu Nov 17, 2005 7:58 pm

Hi all. I realize this is a pretty far-out feature request, so feel free to say "Marginal" and then explain to me how I can do it myself. :D

Stylus Studio has XQuery integration with Berkeley DBXML (http://www.stylusstudio.com/dbxml.html). I think this is kind of nifty, but for the life of me, I can't figure out how an XQuery editor/environment gets connected with a database/datasource. Does this happen in the oXygen plugin architecture? Do they talk with each other over HTTP?

Hello,

The XQuery support of the current version of <oXygen/> does not provide integration with Berkeley DB XML but we noted the feature request for a future version.

Best regards,
Sorin

Version 7.1 added support for editing, validating and executing XQuery against the Berkeley DB XML database.

A video demonstration is available at:
http://www.oxygenxml.com/demo/berkeley/berkeley.html

Configuration notes are available at:
http://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/ug-oxygen/ ... ey-support

The same support is available in the Eclipse plugin version of the editor.
