EPub reader - how to choose Google Readium by default

Hi there,

Everytime an EPub gets generated, it always goes to the i Tunes which does not read the EPub. I end up having to save the file and re-opened it in Google Readium. Could you help explain how I could set the reading of the EPub in Readium (or even firefox) by default?

Hello,

Please note that oXygen XML has no control over the file types associations in your own system.
The output EPub file generated by oXygen is probably subsequently opened in your system application - which in your case is iTunes.
So you should change the epub file type association on your Mac OS.

Here is a simple way to do that:
- From the OS X Finder, right-click (or Control+Click) on the file to change the default app for and hold down the OPTION key so that the “Open With” menu becomes “Always Open With”
- Continue to hold OPTION and select the application you want to set as the default for this file

The file will open in the application you selected and that file will now associate the chosen application as it’s new default to always open within.
