Re: docbook to pdf customization

For the numbering issue, I don't know how to modify.
For the font, here is what I tried and how it transformed:

docbook to pdf customization

I know this is a beginner question, but I am not sure what file I should modify to alter the transformation of docbook to pdf. I would like to change the font outputted by the pdf and also fix the numbering issue where there is no space between the number and the text (see attachment). Where would I...

Re: Two ePub issues

The solution to add this within the info tag worked great: <cover> <mediaobject role="cover"> <imageobject> <imagedata fileref="../pathtocovers/epub_cover.jpg" contentdepth="700" contentwidth="500" /> </imageobject> </mediaobject> </cover> Problem solved. Than...

Re: Two ePub issues

Thank you for the reply. I am using the doc book to ePub3 converter. Should I try changing the width parameter to match the older html designation?

Two ePub issues

I have a document in docbook XML format. When I make an ePub target, there is no option for a cover page, so I need to add it in Sigil or some other program. Is there a way of specifying this in Oxygen directly? When I add an inline image with code like: <para><inlinemediaobject> <imageobject> <imag...

Re: migrating from MadCap Flare to Oxygen XML

Thank you for the tips on converting XHTML to DocBook format. I had used a LaTeX converter to generate DocBook, but I ended up having to do extensive cleanup in Oxygen XML editor. That being said, the ePub output from Oxygen XML is beautiful. I don't get the errors that I get in Flare generated ePub...

migrating from MadCap Flare to Oxygen XML

I've used Flare over the past several years and while it is a great HAT program, it falls short for me with pdf and ePub outputs. I have several books that I would like to convert from XHTML in Flare to Docbook format. These books were originally created in InDesign or Framemaker, but I needed more ...

Re: cannot save epub

I cannot thank the support team from Oxygen enough. The solution above works perfectly. The compression of the mimetype appears to be a bug in Madcap Flare 2016R2 and can be replicated with even a blank file created from one of their templates. (Jutoh fixes this automatically when one imports and re...

Re: cannot save epub

Unfortunately 7-Zip is Windows only. The issue is with the OSX version of Oxygen XML Author. The epub can be extracted if renamed "*.zip" and can be opened, edited, and saved in Calibre, Sigil, Jutoh, etc. I can save individual elements with "save as" in Oxygen, so I would agree ...

cannot save epub

I have an epub generated from MadCap Flare which has several errors, making it impossible to upload to Amazon Kindle. I can open this in Oxygen XML editor and make the edits, but it does not allow these edits to be saved. I get the error message: Cannot save the file: null Caused by: mimetype: bad e...
