How to use the XProc Input Tab properly
The Oxygen XML documentation for the XProc Input Tab reads: The Inputs tab contains a list with the ports that the XProc script uses to read input data. Use the Filter text box to search for a specific term in the entire ports collection. Each input port has an assigned name in the XProc script. The...

xproc and xinclude with fixup-xml-base
I'm having trouble disabling the fixup-xml-base option in Xproc. I have created an xproc transformation scenario in oXygen. In the Inputs, I defined a source port, and this port takes an XML doc which has a bunch of other fragments included with xi:include. The scenario also defines the final output...

Re: oXygen grinds to a halt under Mac OS X 10.14 Mojave
Hi Adrian. yes, the problems persist even when I have only one small file open. Even with one simple XSL file open, the oXygen screen still occasionally freezes, I can't scroll, type, select or anything. This I think happens when the CPU skyrockets, but then after a while the CPU returns to normal a...

oXygen grinds to a halt under Mac OS X 10.14 Mojave
Hi, I'm running Mac OS 10.14 (release 18A389), which is most likely, a GM. oXygen starts up but the CPU usage ranges between 150 and 500%. Larger files are difficult to open — and some don't open at all. Is there an update in the works? If yes, I'd be happy to test on my end. I do realize that Mojav...

Re: Master file support for TEI documents
Тhanks, Radu. I'd be most grateful if you could look into fixing this. Urlencoding filenames is really not a practical solution — because they are not human legible, and they would ruin the workflow I'm trying to set up now for our dictionary encoders. We need filenames to correspond to entry headwo...

Re: Master file support for TEI documents
Dear Radu, I have a follow-up question here. I've discovered that the validation of xi:included modules doesn't work in oXygen if the module has non-ascii (for instance Cyrillic) letters in the file name. Please see attached. The master file includes two files, one called entry.xml and the other cal...

Master file support for TEI documents
I'm trying to apply oXygen's master file support to TEI documents, but that doesn't seem to work. I've noticed one old question in the forum https://www.oxygenxml.com/forum/topic13310.html?hilit=tei%20master but the instructions provided there still don't seem to help. I have a project in which the ...

XProc and XML entities
Hi, I have an XSLT2 stylesheet which uses xsl:character-map to explicitly encode some whitespaces as   When I include this stylesheet into an XProc pipeline in oXygen, the XML entities are resolved. Is there a way to control the resolution of XML entities in XProc using oXygen? All best, Toma

Re: [bug] Pasting into oXygen 17.1 on Mac - content always pasted twice
Dear Adrian, are you close to fixing this bug? The reason I'm asking is that the workaround you suggested (using the version requiring Java SE 6) has turned out to be quite cumbersome, because that version of oXygen does not support xProc, and also I can't use it to connect with eXist, so I am left ...

Re: Web Author - Educational?
That's a shame. Considering the huge popularity of oXygen in academic circles and considering large investments that academic projects all over the world have made by purchasing oXygen licenses, using oXygen in classrooms and introducing generations of new users to oXygen, your decision to price the...

Web Author - Educational?
Hi.
Congratulations. The new oXygen Web Author looks very spiffy.
Are there really no academic licenses for it? At 200/month, it is way out of the academic price range.
All best,
Toma

Re: [bug] Pasting into oXygen 17.1 on Mac - content always pasted twice
Dear Adrian, the issue seems to occur only with certain keyboard layouts. For instance, when I use my own custom-made keyboard layout or Apple's Greek Polytonic, the content gets pasted twice. When I use Apple's German keyboard layout, the content gets pasted once. Unfortunately, I can't simply star...

Re: [bug] Pasting into oXygen 17.1 on Mac - content always pasted twice
Dear Radu, sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I've been traveling. I've just installed a fresh copy of oXygen with embedded Java on 10.11.4, oXygen 17.1 build 2016032212, java version 1.8.0_72. I've had this problem for a while, I honestly don't remember when it started (probably several we...

Re: [bug] Pasting into oXygen 17.1 on Mac - content always pasted twice
pasting the same content into a different application works, so this really is isolated only to oXygen.

[bug] Pasting into oXygen 17.1 on Mac - content always pasted twice
Hi,
I'm experiencing a bug in Oxygen 17.1 on Mac OS 10.11.2.
Whenever I try to paste content into oXygen — regardless of whether from a different app, or from within oXygen, the content is pasted twice.
Any idea on how to fix this?
All best,
Toma

increase font size of XPath/XQuery builder & Search/Replace Window
Hi.
How can I increase the font size of the text within the XPath/XQuery builder & within the Search/Replace Window? None of the Font options in the Preferences (Editor, GUI, Text Components) seem to do the trick.
All best,
Toma

Re: overriding display of certain elements in Author View
many, many thanks, patrik for this hint. i added oxy_attributes() so now attributes display as well. since all this is done through the css content property, i don't see how i could style element names, attributes and values differently — they all seem to have to be the same color. but having xml ex...

overriding display of certain elements in Author View
hi. TEI uses <egXML> for marking up examples of TEI itself when writing documentation etc. I'm wondering whether it would be possible, while using the Author View, to somehow override all the children of <egXML> to display as a block element but not using the Author View's tags, but rather using cle...

Re: Content Completion Config with XSLT
thank you so much for your help, alex. also for for adding a request to pass the context to XSLT in 17.1. i have a feeling that passing the context would make the content completion in cases like mine much snappier than the provided workaround with the Oxygen API. there is a noticeable lag with long...
