Re: Fonts in help manual are too large

Hi Sorin The new build did fix the problem of the fonts in OxygenXML user manual. I do keep an eye on the build history page http://www.oxygenxml.com/build_history.html but there it only mentioned a bug fix: Bugfix: The selected characters were slided from their normal position as the selection was ...

Re: Online training/tutorial for OxygenXML

Hi Sorin

Thanks for the pointer to the documentation page. So far I have only skimmed over the tutorials, but they look good.

Should of used my eyes before posting.

Online training/tutorial for OxygenXML

My boss pointed out online training for another XML Editor at: http://www.altova.com/aot/online-training.aspx I do not think OxygenXML has something similar. Would OxygenXML create a tutorial showing how to use the features of OxygenXML Editor to achieve simple tasks? As an introduction to the tool?...

Fonts in help manual are too large

I have recently moved to a new PC using Windows XP Professional and it is running the most current patches from Windows Update. I opened Oxygen XML Editor 10.3 User Manual and the heading fonts are huge. I could not get MS-Word to create as large a font (Times New Roman 72). In fact the letter 'K' m...

Re: Problem with license server

Hi Sorin I found another Windows 2003 Enterprise Server. And on this server the Oxygen License Server works. I do not know whether to be happy or sad. :? Do you have any other ideas as to how I can isolate the problem of the Oxygen License Manager not running on this specific Windows 2003 Enterprise...

Re: Problem with license server

Hi

I uninstalled the Oxygen License Manager and deleted the directory. I reinstalled using the defaults. I have done this already. But I thought to try again.

It did not help.

Re: Make 'Show List' window wider

Hi Sorin Apologies for not being more specific. I used the same words that you posted in a response to another member. How do I switch tabs with a key / keyboard shortcut? The 'Show List' button that I was talking about is the button located on the top right-hand-side of the OxygenXML editor panel. ...

Make 'Show List' window wider

Hi I find the 'Show List' window most useful. However, some of our XML filenames are long and are truncated when displayed in the pop-up window. This is a problem as we use directories for releases and some releases have over 900 XML samples files. The longest filenames are seventy characters. Could...

Hi Sorin I am at home now. For this problem, I made no changes to the client settings after I initially entered them. I would start OxygenXML on my PC to see if it would start and then shut it down. Problem with license server

For unknown reasons, our server hosting the OxygenXML license server suddenly went off-line. I quickly went to install the OxygenXML license server software on to a different server (and when the old server comes up, I will uninstall it from there). So far so good. However, I cannot get the License ...

Regarding the change for read-only files. I can open a read-only file and format it. Great. However, I cannot validate it if I have the setting 'Save all files before transformation or validation'. I can clear this option. But is it possible include an ability to clear the read-only attribute on the...

Test a beta version with the new features that I requested

This question is about Oxygen 10.3 dev.

Is it possible to get hold of the 10.3 alpha/beta so see how it behaves? I have raised some issues and I would like to see how they have been addressed before the release.

I assume that 10.3 dev could be installed side-by-side with 10.2?

Re: Position of illegal characters not reported

Hi I looked at this again and now have a better understanding. I can replicate the problem with the sample: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <message> <test>abc</test> </message> Use a binary editor to change a character of the text of <test> to 'FF'. For example, the change 'b' in "abc" to 0x...

Hi Sorin Thanks for the correction of using 'yes/no' instead of 'true/false'. I had made assumptions on the boolean variable that were obviously wrong from the sample you highlighted. I found that the source code does not appear to iterate files across directories:
public Object map(Item item, XPathContext context)
public File[] listFiles()

That is a shame.

Using collection() with XPath Builder to search across files

Hi I am trying to use collection() in lieu of a XPath search across all files. However, I cannot get it to recurse across directories. Do I have the meaning of 'recurse' right? Is recurse files across directories or recurse files within a directory? For example: the statements: Does not works: colle...
