Re: Validate filename

I still do not know, whether it is possible to validate filenames. But now I validate the attribute value of my referring element with Schematron. The result is the same. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <schema xmlns="http://purl.oclc.org/dsdl/schematron" queryBinding="xslt2"> <pattern...

Validate filename

Hi,

is it possible to detect forbidden chars in filenames, like '(', ')', 'ä', 'ö', 'ü', etc. with an Oxygen validation scenario?

Re: Copy node/attribute value by AuthorOperation

Hi Radu, OK, thanks for your reply. I'd like to have a topic containing a group of reusable elements that have some kind of "pick-my-element-type", "copy-my-ID" and "fetch-the-key-of-my-topic" button on the one hand with a tiny "paste-a-node-with-a-conkeyref" function on the other hand in another to...

Copy node/attribute value by AuthorOperation

Hi,

I'd like to create a button in the author view to copy the content of an element/attribute to the clipboard. I could not find a copyToClipboard AuthorOperation. Does it exist?

Best regards
Stean

Re: Discovering the right extension point

Hi Radu, I followed your recommendations and came up with this target: <target name="generateContextHelpMap"> <!-- Call the DITA init target. --> <antcall target="init"/> <xslt extension=".xml" basedir="${dita.temp.dir}" includes="myFirst.ditamap, mySecond.ditamap" style="${dita.dir}/plugins/myPlugi...

Re: Discovering the right extension point

Hi Radu, wow , you surprised me another time. The context-sensitive webhelp system is exactly what I need. Unfortunately I have no budget for an Oxygen upgrade in this quarter and I need that system now. But that is definitely a really cool new Oxygen feature. Thanks a lot :!: However, accord...

Discovering the right extension point

Hi, I need to generate a custom filtered XML file containing keys and relative URLs to the physical XHTML output files. This is my map (pseudocode): <map> <topicref keyref="MyTopic1" audience="Admin"/> <topicref keyref="MyTopic2"/> <topicref keyref="MyTopic3"/> <topicref keyref="MyTopic4" audience="...

Re: Best practices for custom frameworks

Hi Renee, for myself a good Oxygen framework should completely avoid using the tag mode. Everything should be so easy and simple to handle (with shortcuts, buttons and menu entries) that writers without XML skills can use the authoring environment. I copied the whole DITA CSS family, because I chang...

System variables in actions

Hi, I'd like to open a file via a framework action. This works well with: ro.sync.ecss.extensions.commons.operations.OpenInSystemAppOperation Unfortunately I could not figure out, how to open a file in a user dir. System variables like %HOMEPATH% do not work and Oxygen Editor Variables do not work e...

dlentry elements with conref

Hi, I have a modular application with many data fields. Some data fields are used multiple times in the GUI of the application. My goal is to create databases with reusable explanations of the data fields and to reuse them by conkeyref . Unfortunately the validator forces me to create dd and dt elem...

Re: Sharing frameworks - Using variables in paths

Hi Patrik, oh, ok!? So if I understand you correctly, if I deploy, for example, my plugin to another machine, the path does not need to be changed. So C:\Users\eike\DITA-OT\frameworks\dakosy-framework\dakosy_dita.framework automatically switches to C:\Users\[NEWUSER]\DITA-OT\frameworks\dakosy-framew...

Re: Sharing frameworks - Using variables in paths

Hi Patrik and Radu,

thank you both for your replies. I think Radu misunderstood me. I'm talking about the Storage setting in the Document type window.

To me it seems, that I cannot use variables here.

Sharing frameworks - Using variables in paths

Hi, I can save a framework internal (with the project) or external. Saving it internal is not a good solution for me, because the framework is related to multiple projects, so I'd prefer to save it externally. Unfortunately I cannot use variables like ${home} here, but why? I'd like to refer to my f...

Re: Sorting a glossary alphabetically

Hi Radu,

the conversation 34193 of the mailing list elped me. Eliot clearly explained how to write a sorting mechanism. I'll write a XSLT and test it, maybe write a howto about it.

Stefan

Sorting a glossary alphabetically

Hi, it seems to me, that the DITA-OT cannot sort glossary entries (based on the map attribute xml:lang ). Am I right? I crawled the OT instance of Oxygen and it seems to me, that the glossaryProcessing.xsl of the net.sourceforge.dita4publishers.common.mapdriven plugin does what I need. Am I ...

Name of author is saved in global options

Hi, when I enter my name in the options, I only have the choice to save it either in the global or in the project options. Both don't make sense, because my name is neither related to the global or project options. When a colleague imports the global options to his Oxygen instance, he has to change ...

Re: Searching the right approach: Specialization with RELAX

Hi Radu, thanks for your reply. Has the org.dita-ng.doctypes been tested to work with the DITA-OT 2.x? If not, that would probably be a show-stopper, because my publishing pipeline relies on that. I'm still unconfident. The last commit of dita-ng is 15 month ago. Further on, neither org.dita-ng.doct...

Searching the right approach: Specialization with RELAX NG v

Dear all, I'm currently thinking about how to specialize my DITA environment. It's some kind of greenfield project, so there's not much to care for (because nothing exists). If I'm right (please correct me, if I'm wrong), the DITA movement will (slowly) depart from the old DTD/Schema approach and RE...

Re: Creating an index using an index.ditamap and conrefs

Hi Radu, in our situation it is not necessary to reference indexterm elements from the map. We have multiple maps, but we don't have diverging indexterm elements. So we reference indexterm elements only from topics. I cannot imagine any company/use case, that requires assigning indexterm elements by...

Re: Creating an index using an index.ditamap and conrefs

Hi Radu, very interesting. Thank you very much for your engagement. I subscribed to the list. I thought it is a common practice to organize indexterms on the map, due to the mentioned white paper ( http://www.infomanagementcenter.com/members/pdfs/reprints/BP09-10JVazquez.pdf ). I don't care whether ...
