Hi. We had some reports about similar behaviour on Debian. On latest Mandrake or RedHat versions this is not happening.
Please check you have the 1.4.1 JRE installed.

When starting Oxygen from the command line, the "oxygen.sh" script assumes the working directory is the same as the installation directory.
