Re: page counter reset issue

Hi Julien,
Thanks for the suggestion but unfortunately this hasn't worked — the behaviour is unchanged from before.
I have sent the PDF output by email.
Regards.

Re: Figure and table caption formatting

Thanks for the support Julien. For reference, the following resolved the issue with the captions: Figure captions figcaption { display:block; text-align: center; font-family: 'IBM Plex Sans Condensed Text'; font-size: 9pt; } Table captions table > caption { text-align: center; font-family: 'IBM Plex...

Re: page counter reset issue

Hi Julien, Thanks for that; it did work when the only content in the frontmatter was <toc/>, <figurelist/>, <tablelist/>, as children of a <booklists> element. However, it stops working when there is another child of the <frontmatter>. In my case I use a </preface> element before the <booklists> ele...

Re: page counter reset issue

It isn't working still unfortunately. I can see and understand how the two different numbering parameters are supposed to work but I can't seem to use either parameter and overrule it in my custom CSS. Current attempt: @namespace p "http://www.oxygenxml.com/extensions/publishing/dita/css/params"; *[...

Re: page counter reset issue

Hi, If you have any suggestions for the css I would appreciate your input Julien. As you suggested, I have now tried the "deep-chapter-scope" numbering parameter but am not getting the desired result - it appears to not be prioritising my custom CSS. For example, it looks like the main difference be...

Re: page counter reset issue

Hi Costin, I recently enabled the "deep-chapter-scope-no-page-reset" which works well, however my page numbers no longer reset to 1 (from roman) after the frontmatter. I have tried the following CSS rule, without success: *[class ~= "map/map"][p|numbering^='deep-chapter-scope-no-page-reset'] *[class...

Re: Centre tables on a page

Hi Julien, The CSS selector works, however it compresses all tables to fit within those margins. There is also an issue on our side to add the 'auto' support for table margins but it will be in a future release. Does this mean there is not an option currently for tables to automatically size and adj...

Centre tables on a page

Is there a way to centre an entire table on a page in a PDF?
I can get the contents to centre in the cells, but am unable to centre the whole table on the page.

Thanks.

Re: Figure and table caption formatting

Hi Costin, However, to help us see exactly for which table/figure titles the title is on a separate line (or separate page) in your document, you should send us (on support@oxygenxml.com) a small sample DITA Map hierarchy of files in an as minimal form as possible (with just a few topics), that you ...

Please send us a sample (PDF and .style.xml file from the output folder) to the support@oxygenxml.com email address. We will try to see the exact situation.
Hi Dan, I have finally sent the files over to the support address.

Figure and table caption formatting

I am having some issues getting the captions for tables and figures to behave as I would like in the PDF output. I have tried a few different approaches but have now adopted the 'deep-chapter-scope-no-page-reset' parameter for numbering tables and figures (which is a welcome recent update). At prese...

Re: Landscape page formatting in pdf Chemistry

Hi Dan, I've reviewed the topic you referenced but couldn't see a fix to avoid the blank space between the topic title and the table. Is that correct? In some cases I may be able to set the entire topic to outputclass = 'wide' which may resolve the issue. I would then need to apply another rule to s...

Landscape page formatting in pdf Chemistry

I have a couple of issues with the formatting on landscape pages. I have set wide tables with an outputclass = 'wide' and likewise applied the same to some figures. Using the following CSS, the pages are set to landscape: *[outputclass = 'wide'] { page: wide-page; } *[orient = 'land'] { page: wide-p...

Omit alternative title from header

Hi, Is there a way to omit <booktitlealt> (alternative title/subtitle) from a header, and only show the <mainbooktitle> (primary title)? Automated glossary?

Hi, Are there any plans to develop automation of glossaries, dependent on terms used in a DITA Map? I have in mind what davdup asked here: https://www.oxygenxml.com/forum/post54151.html?hilit=glossary#p54097 It would be really useful to have a single DITA Map containing all the glossentry topics and...

Re: How to show <othermeta> in PDF transformations?

Hi Dan,

Thank you very much - that works now and is showing in the footer.

Please let me know if you find a method of passing the othermeta information through into the PDF properties (and merged HTML).

Kind regards,
Duncan

Re: Exclude some tables from captions and List of Tables

I think I may have found the answer...
Removing the title from the tables results in them not showing in the List of Tables. They now match the table numbers throughout the document, when used in conjunction with the CSS above.

If there is a better method then please advise.

Kind regards.

Re: Exclude some tables from captions and List of Tables

Hi Costin, Thanks. I set base to 'no-caption' so I could still use auto-table on the outputclass attribute. The following removed the caption from the relevant tables but they are still showing in the List of Tables, and consequently increments all the other tables in that list as if they do exist. ...

Missing header image on some pages

Hi, Our headers include our company logo in the top right corner of our PDF transformations. For some reason, on some of the pages, the logo is missing from the header. There doesn't appear to be particular pattern for the pages missing the logo, but when it does happen, it seems to be on a page tha...

How to show <othermeta> in PDF transformations?

Hi, We record information about our documents in <bookmeta>. I would like to use this data, including <othermeta>, in the PDF both as metadata and (for some tags) in the headers/footers. I've had some success getting some of the values through to the PDF, however the <othermeta> does not carry throu...
