Using the dita.xsl.strings extension with the webhelp responsive plugin

Hi! We have a number of custom localized strings that are used via the dita.xsl.strings extension. They are custom in the sense that they do not have corresponding @name values in the localization resources of the com.oxygenxml.webhelp.responsive plugin. The createLocalizationFiles template seems to...

Re: Excluded topics show up in search results

As a workaround, we can use the @processing-role="resource-only" attribute in conjunction with the @product attribute for topics that we want to exclude on the ditamap level, but it's not an ideal solution.

Re: Excluded topics show up in search results

Hi Costin,

I'm afraid I've already tried both suggestions to no avail. I've also tried deleting the existing output by hand before starting the transformation scenario again.

Excluded topics show up in search results

We're having an issue with topics excluded with DITAVAL showing up in the responsive webhelp search results. We have a master DITAVAL file referenced in a ditavalref element in our ditamap, and in addition we have filters specific to different transformation scenarios in oXygen. The filters in the t...

Re: Using WebHelp macros in HTML fragments

Thank you for your assistance! Also worth noting in the documentation is the fact that you'll need to declare the namespace for the whc: prefix in the root element of the fragment.

Re: Loading JavaScript AMD modules for the responsive WebHelp output

Thank you, that helped me solve the issue. On a related note, our webhelp user guides share a JavaScript file that uses jQuery UI. We have different versions of our user guides in separate folders, like so: <domain>/user-guide/<product version>/<language>/index.html The JavaScript file shared by eac...

Loading JavaScript AMD modules for the responsive WebHelp output

Hi, I'm trying to load AMD modules using the publishing template but I can't seem to be able to define the paths to the JS libraries correctly. For instance, I'd like to initialize DataTables in this manner but I get the following error in the console: require.js:5 GET file:///C:/[...]/out/webhelp-r...

Using WebHelp macros in HTML fragments

Hi, The ability to use WebHelp macros in HTML fragments is a welcome improvement! The instructions on using them, however, are a bit unclear: https://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/versions/20.1/ug-editor/topics/wh-add-custom-html.html The instructions do not reveal that you have to use the element <whc:macr...

Show parent topic or breadcrumb trail of a search result on the responsive webhelp search results page

Hi! Our user guide, which is built from a single ditamap, contains four main-level headings for our "core" product and two main-level headings for additional add-on products and solutions. The topics for our core product and additional products touch upon similar themes and thus the titles...

Using the com.oxygenxml.webhelp.responsive 20.0 plugin in an external DITA-OT

Hi! I can't seem to get the latest com.oxygenxml.webhelp.responsive plugin working in our external DITA-OT version 2.5. I've installed the plugin using the "dita --install" command, but I'm only seeing the header and the footer when I generate the responsive webhelp output. Which plugins o...

Re: How to load custom JS libraries in the responsive webhelp transformation

I think this may also be tied to jQuery UI widgets not working. Should they be initialized using RequireJS as well? We use a jQuery UI dialog to allow the user to jump between different versions of our user guides and in the older versions the jQuery UI library is not loaded by RequireJS. All the ve...

Disabling the popup for images in the responsive webhelp output

Hi!

Is there an easy way to disable the popup window for enlarged images in the responsive webhelp output? We already use the Fancybox library for the same purpose and it better suits our needs than the solution that's included in the responsive webhelp plugin.

Best regards,
Antti

Thank you, alin. Your solution worked nicely. I hope that in the future there'll be an easier way to load RequireJS modules. :D

Re: Using localized variables in webhelp HTML fragments

Unfortunatelly, you cannot contribute custom localized strings using the Publishing Template. However, you can use the Publishing Template to contribute your customization stylesheets. Here is an example in our User Manual: https://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/versions/20.0/ug-editor/topics/wht-task-pt-xs...

How to load custom JS libraries in the responsive webhelp transformation

Hi! I am attempting to use additional JS libraries, such as DataTables, in the responsive webhelp output by loading the libraries in the webhelp.fragment.head fragment. However, this results in a broken output where only the header and the footer of the layout is visible and no content can be seen. ...

Using localized variables in webhelp HTML fragments

Hi, We're created a customization of the responsive webhelp plugin where we run custom XSLT tasks for generating HTML fragments with localized texts (such as "Last updated" in the footer) from the webhelp localization framework. Is there any easier way to do this, especially with the new p...
