Re: Webhelp - Can the booktitle link to webhelp home?
Thank you for the reply Bogdan. I think that would be a nice feature to be able to configure a global link to the home page of the webhelp using something like an editor variable to make the link relative. Home page could be reached by clicking on the title of the webhelp or on the logo for example....

Re: Webhelp - Can the booktitle link to webhelp home?
I have a follow-up question: is there an editor variable that represents the home page of the web help? Otherwise it would have to be an absolute URL, which is a bit of a nightmare if we don't know in advance where the web help will be deployed.
Thanks,
Stefan
Thanks,
Stefan

Re: Frames splitbar in webhelp output behave differently in Chrome and Firefox
Hi Bogdan, Thanks you for your reply and sorry for taking so long to get back to you. I actually solved my problem myself. In the original css, there was this line: border: 1px solid transparent !important; I changed it for : border-bottom: 1px solid #ccc (although I can't remember exactly why). Tha...

Frames splitbar in webhelp output behave differently in Chrome and Firefox
Hi, I'm almost finished with our first iteration of a custom layout for webhelp, but I still have a very bizarre issue with the splitbar. In Firefox (44.0.2), it behaves as expected. In Chrome (48.0.2564), I experience two weird behaviors: If I select the splitbar to resize the frames, the bar is du...

Webhelp - Can the booktitle link to webhelp home?
Hi, I'm wondering if it's possible to make the booktitle link to the homepage of a webhelp and/or to add a home icon that links to the home page of a webhelp? For example, in oXygen webhelp, clicking on Oxygen XML Author 17 at the top of the page would bring you back to the Introduction page, whiche...

Using DITA-OT 2.2 with oXygen 16.1
Hi, I searched for this info but couldn't find it anywhere in the documentation. What is the procedure for using a different DITA-OT version than the one oXygen was shipped with? Do I simply need to modify the DITA scenario parameter dita.dir to point towards the new version directory? I suspect tra...

Re: XML Database drop DOCTYPE in DITA maps
Thank you for the suggestion George. I will investigate if this is an option for us. Regarding BaseX, there really isn't any better solution: https://mailman.uni-konstanz.de/pipermail/basex-talk/2016-January/010128.html They also mentioned Argon Author: http://argon-author.com/ . Does anybody have a...

Re: XML Database drop DOCTYPE in DITA maps
Thank you Radu.
I tried to add the PI directive as per the forum thread you mentioned and it seems to work. I'd have to add this PI to all dita files am I right?
I'll try to find out if there's a similar solution for BaseX. If I find out, I'll post it here for sure.
Thanks again,
Stefan

XML Database drop DOCTYPE in DITA maps
We are using oXygen Author for technical documents and are moving towards native XML database to store and distribute content. I'm toying with both BaseX and eXist and they both display this rather unfortunate behavior with regards to DITA Maps files: the DOCTYPE tag is dropped after the file is upl...
