Re: JS dependencies

Hi Oleksii,

All we have for XSLT is the support for master files:

https://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/versions/ ... iting.html

Could you give us more details about what you want and how you would envision it to work?

Re: No icons and generated text showed in default HTML5 generated by Oxygen

Hi, Please see some answers below: 1. all the icons for Note such like "note" "warning" The default HTML5 output provided by the DITA Open Toolkit publishing engine indeed does not show icons for notes. Our WebHelp Responsive output does. There is a bunch of note-type images located in OXYGEN_INSTAL...

Re: othertype notes using different note images

Hi, None of the two recent posters indicated what type of published format they obtain from DITA. I will assume they generate PDF using the classic XSL-FO approach (and not the HTML and CSS-based PDF publishing which is easier to customize via CSS). There is a publishing plugin which may serve as an...

Re: Customerize Oxygen XML author

Hi, Please see some answers below: 1. How can we use own DTD/XSD when doing DITA writing? Such like we want to add some sections such like "limitations" to task body with the same level of steps、postreq、prereq. How can we do that? There is a topic in the Oxygen user's manual about using a custom DIT...

Re: output files not where expected

Hi, You probably have inside some of your DITA topics references to locations outside of the main DITA Map folder. The publishing engine has problems when you have such references because it will try to duplicate in the output folder the entire structure of the input folder and it will try to locate...

Re: Preventing non-unicode symbols

Hi Kim, As I stated before, the unicode standard contains all the letters, symbols and characters in the world. So any symbol (even the ones rendered explicitly with the "Symbols" font) is also unicode. There is no "non-unicode" symbol, any symbol, including the ones not properly rendered by various...

Re: Progress indicator for "Validate and check for completeness"

Hi Christina,

Right, the "Batch validate referenced DITA resources" behaves in a way as if each DITA topic is individually loaded and validated with its associated validation scenarios and this adds considerable more time to the validation process.

Re: Preventing non-unicode symbols

Hi Kim, All those symbols we display in the Oxygen Character map are unicode symbols, the unicode standard maps all characters from all languages in the world to an unique integer value. Problem is that most fonts do not support rendering the entire range of unicode characters, this is why in our Ch...

Re: Opening large DocBook files in Oxygen takes a long time

Hi Charles, Indeed, if the XML document has lots of xi:includes Oxygen will try to expand them all when switching to the Author visual editing mode. Unfortunately for now we do not have such a feature which would automatically halt the open operation (or avoid expanding xi:includes) once a decision ...

Re: Open-source editor for MathML equations in Author?

Hi Chris, I do not know of any particular free MathML editing tool. One option would be to keep the default editing behavior (which shows you a dialog in which you need to insert the MathML equation): https://www.oxygenxml.com/doc/versions/21.1/ug-editor/topics/author-editing-mathml-x-modes2.html an...

Hi Christina, In addition to what Sorin said, a couple of remarks about this: any updates on this one? Re: Build oxy_combobox based on Content Completion values

Hi Isabelle,

This should work:

Code: Select all

element {content: oxy_combobox(edit, "@attributeName");}
If you go to the Oxygen Attributes view and double click on the attribute name are there in the editing combo box the values that you expect?

Re: Find all/ Replace all particular attributes only

Hi, Oxygen's Find/Replace dialog has an "Xpath" field which you can set to //BoundLabel/@layout in order to limit the search. Then enable the "Regular Expression" checkbox and search for: (\d*\.\d),(\d*\.\d),(\d*\.\d),(\d*\.\d) replace with: \1,\2,60.0,\4 Basically I'm matching all four numbers and ...

Re: Build oxy_combobox based on Content Completion values

Hi Isabelle, If this is for an element's text value (and not for an attribute) probably something like this should work in the CSS: element {content: oxy_combobox(edit, "#text");} because if explicit values are not provided in the combo box it should fallback on the content completion values. https:...

Re: Cross-referencing topics outside a map

Hi Antony, I would do this using key references. So in the reusable component topic I would have the link something like this: <ph keyref="linkKey"/> and then in the DITA Map where I want it as link, I would define the key like this: <keydef keys="linkKey" href="tasks/pruning.dita"/> then in the oth...

Hi Andrew, Not sure what's going on, did she make any changes to the build files? Or did she configure a custom DITA Open Toolkit engine (not the one shipped with Oxygen) in the Preferences->DITA page? Re: Output filename based on variables

Hi Andrew, I see you already got some answers on the DITA Users List. I do not have a clear idea how a plugin could do that, probably if the plugin would have some custom ANT target which would be called before the PDF is produced, it could call an XSLT script to process the DITA Map from the tempor...

Re: Cross-referencing topics outside a map

Dear Antony, As you also found out, using such cross references results in broken links in the PDF output. So links to topics not referenced in the DITA Map is not a good idea. In the Oxygen DITA Maps Manager view there is a "Validate and Check for Completeness" and one of the checkboxes there is "R...

Re: Add more functions to the XPath builder

Hi Oleksii,

In addition to what Martin replied, you seem to want to call in the XPath a function implemented in XSLT content. We do not have the APIs available in the Saxon XSLT processor we use for running the XPath to provide for such a feature.

Re: Shortcut for "Navigate to next XML node"

Hi,

Right, I can reproduce this problem on our side. Somehow at some point we took the decision not to add the navigation actions for particular XML-based editors (like XSD or XSL). I'm not sure why we took this decision, I will add an internal issue to look into this.

Hi Julie, Usually in such cases as you are using DITA I would suggest you use conkeyrefs instead of conrefs, this would ensure you do not have file path dependent references in your new file templates. But indeed using the "makeRelative" is another option. The first parameter is the URL path to the ...
