Re: Webhelp responsive template - customize header
Hello~ I have a similar question. Is there an extension point for overriding the whc:webhelp_publication_title template in the commonComponentExpander.xsl file? I don't want to edit the file directly but want to override just this template so that we can use ditamap metadata instead of the maptitle ...

Responsive Webhelp : Add footer with links to topics
Hi, We have frontmatter and glossary content in the ditamap that we'd like to include in the footer of the responsive webhelp. We can easily hide this content from the wh-tiles. However, it's trickier to then add these two hidden sections as links in the footer. You do this on this page: https://www...

Process PI in webhelp footer
Hi, We have a processing instruction from our CMS that includes the last edited date of the file. These appear in the DITA temp files but I cannot figure out how to process these as a value that appears in the webhelp footer. I know how to parse the PI, but not where to include this logic in the web...

webhelp.skin.css in build.xml
Hi, We're currently setting webhelp.skin.css in a properties file that we specify at run-time. We're trying to move this to the build.xml file instead using a <property> element. When publishing with webhelp.skin.css specified in build.xml and not using a properties file, the skin.css file gets crea...

Re: SVG processing in HTML webhelp
Hi Radu, Thank you! That worked very well. We added a new target to plugin.xml and defined it in build_common.xml. The target looks for the XML declaration of SVG files and then appends an XML stylesheet with a link to skin.css. <target name="fix-svgs"> <property name="style_text"...

Hi Ionela, Thanks for your help. Oxygen webhelp folder structure
Hi, We're using the Oxygen Webhelp plugin (classic, for now). Is it possible to control the output folder structure? For example, we'd like for everything to render in a folder and for the output to show just one file, index.html, (and a folder of everything else) when they open the HTML output. Tha...

Hi Alin --
Awesome~ Your first solution worked like a charm. I'm already deep in XSLT modifications, but the CSS information is quite useful to know as well. The Oxygen team is always so helpful. Thank you!

Re: override template in dita2htmlImpl.xsl with Oxygen Webhelp plugin version
Hi Alin, Yes, after some discussion we decided that supporting DITA-OT 2.x is an important opportunity, especially Markdown + LwDITA support, so I'm working through the other customization issues first and will research the generate.outer.copy = 2 issue later. This is for Oxygen Webhelp version 19.0...

override template in dita2htmlImpl.xsl with Oxygen Webhelp plugin version
Hi, We're trying to modify how the TOC in the Oxygen Webhelp renders glossary entries. While we can update the title in the topics to behave correctly, we cannot get the TOC to use the templates in the Oxygen Webhelp plugin. They always point to the template in org.dita.xhtml/dita2htmllImpl.xsl. For...

SVG processing in HTML webhelp
hello!
We'd like to add a CSS @import statement in SVG files to reference the skin.css files used in the HTML output. Can this be accomplished by updating templates in the Oxygen Webhelp plugin or should we look into DITA-OT file processing logic?
Thanks,
Nick

We'll stick with the v17 plugin in DITA-OT 1.7.5 instead of updating to v19 and DITA-OT 2.3.3. The responsive design looks pretty useful though.

Hi, I'm new to using the .properties file to set build parameters. We're currently using DITA-OT 1.8 with Oxygen Webhelp v17, and I'm upgrading our publishing to DITA-OT 2.3.3 with Oxygen Webhelp v19. We have not needed to use .properties files in the past, but now I'd like to use them for testing. ...

Re: Insert ate in webhelp output
Hi Alin, Sorry for the late reply. So, we can add the current date no problem. The issue is how to capture the date that a file was modified. Thoughts? We'd like each HTML page to have the date a file was modified so that engineers know how out-of-date the content is. If it's just the published date...

Hi, When I run the XSL script in the UI, the output looks and works fine. However, when I use the XML Refactoring Tool to run the script -- so that I can scale this to non-developers -- the output includes additional attributes that break other systems. Example output after running script normally: ...

Re: Source Sans Pro
Hi again Alin,
It turns out that something indeed changes with the font when the plugin copies the font into the output.
In the plugin, the SourceSansPro-Regular.otf file is 230 KB.
In the output, the SourceSansPro-Regular.otf file is 358 KB.
Have you seen this before?
Take care,
-Nick
