Re: Eclipse/Author mode and SVG images

Radu,

Thanks, yes indeed! I was periodically checking, but didn't see it working ... guess i did something wrong.

This is really great, i can now work in an integrated environment (SVN, Tasks, Jira, Chat etc etc!).

Thanks guys, oXygen is really a great product!

Eclipse/Author mode and SVG images

Hi, What is the status regarding support for svg images in author mode in the Eclipse version. I have asked this questions a while back (can't find the post). I believe there were plans to support it. I think i also found a library that is capable of working with SVG in Eclipse. Thanks in advance, K...

Re: Show image in Authoring mode

Dan, Thanks for the reply. I don't have an awful amount of time available today, i did a quick test and it did not work correctly. I guess i do need also the "flatten" part do i (i removed that yesterday from the project and was now trying to solve it just by editing the xml and setting th...

Re: Show image in Authoring mode

Sorin, I have tried you suggestion, but i can't seem to make it work. I first preprocess the XML which "flatens" the xml, it still won't work. i have changed the xml:base to: xml:base="../foo" The intermediate flattened XML looks like: <shelf xmlns:xi="http://www.w3.org/2001...

Re: Show image in Authoring mode

Sorin, I was trying to better understand why base=../.. is working for me (in XSL, XIncludes and eXist's XML database). I believe this is the reason. The default base of the loose-chapter.xml is: path/sample-book/chapters/loose-chapter.xml So .. makes it path/sample-book/chapters/ en then .. makes i...

Re: Show image in Authoring mode

Sorin, Thanks for your response. The problem with changing to ../ or to ../loose-chapter.xml or anything other than ../.. breaks the XSL code (see the included java demo). For us a solution would be if you would support a resolve-uri function with the same behavior as the one in XPath 2.0. In the me...

Re: Show image in Authoring mode

Sorin, The idea is that all images for a "book" are in the sample-book/images directory. regardless wether the chapter is inlined or included. This is the orginal problem i have. With XSL that works (if you run the enclosed java demo you will see). For oXygen to act like this i have to cha...

Re: Show image in Authoring mode

Sorin,

I am referring to the same code i sent earlier with XML files and a particular file structure (see for example http://www.oxygenxml.com/forum/post9983.html#p9983) I can upload it again if needed, shall i use the same URL as before?

Re: Show image in Authoring mode

Sorin, I have tried the shelfs/book/chapter examples (the one i sent trough via support) and it does not work as expected. The included chapters/loose-chapter.xml does not resolve the a correct image location. The magic i believe would indeed be in the resolve-uri function. The parent-uri/base-uri c...

Exclude elements from spellcheck

Hi,

I am not sure if someone already asked about this feature (a quick search did not show any posts to me).

It would be very helpful if spellchecker could be configured in such as way that you can exclude certain elements (based on Qname?) from being checked.

I am unfortunately not able to make it work as i would like to. Did you have a chance to test the code i sent and make it work using the new base-uri function?

Re: SVG Images shows in standalone, not in Eclipse

Dear Radu, I appreciate your post, and i am hoping for a breakthrough in that area soon. This is a extremely important feature for use in order to build a well integrated authoring platform. SVG Images shows in standalone, not in Eclipse

Hi,

Most of our images are in SVG format, these show in de Author view without a rendering problem in oXygen standalone. Embedded in Eclipse however the following message is shown:

Code: Select all

Unsupported content type for :file:/c:/blah/foo.svg
Do i need to install another plugin?

Re: Show image in Authoring mode

Sorin, I am sorry to say that it did not work. I believe it is all because i am not implementing the resolve-uri XPath function using the parent-url(document-url())combination. When the base is "../../" (xml = library/book/chapters/chapter.xml) then the my relative URI resolves one directo...

Re: Show image in Authoring mode

The images are always resolved like content:url( concat( parent-url(document-url()) concat("/images/") attr(name) )); files are either head/somefile.xml or head/sub/somefile.xml The xml:base on files in the head/sub/somefile.xml make sure the standard resolution of image URIs works. In XSL...

Re: Show image in Authoring mode

I have found the "problem" (if it is a problem) My xsml:base is: xml:base="../../" (where this document is in a subfolder head/sub, and the images are in head/images. We use this base value successfully in our XSL documents. When i set the base like: xml:base="../somedoc-in-...

Re: Show image in Authoring mode

Hi,

Our XML documents which bare an xml:base attribute (http://www.w3.org/TR/xmlbase/) don't seem to work correctly.

Are you sure the document-url() respects any xml:base values?

Re: XPath In-scope schema definitions

Sorin, Thanks i was aware of this (and this is how i have been developing a couple of operations). What i was referring to was the XPath expression you can define when defining the action in the document type settings. Some plugins can work on various elements, as long as they of a certain type. XPath In-scope schema definitions

Is there a way of importing schemas into the static context of the XPath console? I know XPath itself has no syntax for importing schema's into the static context, but probbaly the API of your XPath processor implementation has (?). It would simplify my XPath expressions to specify if an Author oper...
