The default is a monospaced font on Mac OS X, Unix, and GNU/Linux, I
think. Only Windows users are left to suffer, which seems like adding
insult to injury. :-)

I sent this in as a complaint to  on 2008-09-13,
and rcvd reply (from Sorin) on 09-16 that SyncRO would consider
setting the default to a monospaced font, both in Editor and Author
mode.
