Allow administrators to delete tasks

Hi,
As administrator of Content Fusion I couldn't find any option to delete tasks owned by users.
One of my colleagues has left the company, and some finalized review tasks owned by that person had not been deleted. Since I'm not the owner of these tasks, I have no access to the task deletion option.
There should be the possibility for an administrator to delete finalized review tasks.
Thanks,
Christina

Hello,
At the moment the admin does not have the possibility to achieve this.
To access tasks of users that left the company you will have to access their email account and reset the CF password.
We have registered a feature request to allow admins to access other accounts tasks.
Best Regards,
Michael

Is there a way to upvote this?

Hello,
I added your upvote for this feature. However, I would like to understand how this feature helps you. Do you see other advantages besides feeing server-side storage for task files?
Best,
Cristian

Hi Cristian,
Counter-question: Do you see any reason to keep every finalized review task in your list, especially when it's two years old and you no longer need it, but can't delete it because the owner no longer exists?
Kind regards,
Christina

Hello,
I cannot see a reason why an admin should not delete such a task.
I can only see reasons for not automatically deleting tasks when a user leaves the company. For example, you might want to investigate why a change in a document happened, and it turns out it was suggested by a reviewer (e.g. manager). The comments that were added on the review task might prove useful in such a situation.

Cristian

Hi Cristian,
I absolutely agree with your second point.
Re. the first point: The finalized review task that I have on my list is one that was used for testing - and now it's in there, forever. And I really don't need it in there. So that's one of the reasons I would like an admin to be able to delete it.

Christina

Hello,
So, you have a task that was created by a colleague of yours, you were assigned as a reviewer (as part of a test), you clicked "Finalize my review", the task Owner does not work for your company anymore and you want the task deleted. It is not visible by default now (you have to show finalized review tasks to view it), but it still bothers you.
Did I understand the use-case correctly?
Best,
Cristian

Hi Cristian,
I don't know about the other user who would like to upvote this topic, but yes, that's my use case.
Thanks,
Christina

Hello,
As a possible solution, starting from
version 6.2 of
Oxygen Content Fusion, you can delete users from the Admin Page [1].
It is very important to note that when you delete a user, all tasks where they were the owner will also be deleted. Even if a task had multiple owners, the remaining owners will no longer be able to access it. Does this approach seem acceptable to you?

Hi Cosmin,
Sorry, I missed replying to your question. We have now updated to the latest version - and I think the option to delete users and therefore their "old" tasks is a way that is acceptable for us.
Thanks for putting so much effort into this.
Best,
Christina
