Oxygen XML Forum

While the code-completion functionality in the Text view of Oxygen pulls documentation from an XSD, it looks like the Attributes window does not.

Would it be possible to add that to this window? It seems that a hover, currently, just displays the text that you're hovering over.

(For example, hovering over an Attribute of 'type' shows 'type' if hovering over the Attribute column, or the value if hovering over that.)

If I'm just missing something, let me know, but it's annotation > documentation, and is showing up in Text view.

We will consider showing the annotation of the attribute on the tooltip in the Attributes view in a future version.

We implemented your suggestion. Starting with the next version (11.2) the tooltip on the Attributes view will display the annotation of the attribute extracted from the schema instead of the attribute value.

If you hover the mouse over the attribute name in the Attribute view you will see the annotation as tooltip. If you hover it over the attribute value you will see the entire value as tooltip.

This feature has been implemented since v11.2. You can find v11.2 in our software archive:
