oxygen breaks eclipse 3.0M5

If one installs oxygen as eclipse 3.0M5 plugin, the tab key does not work anymore!

It doesn't matter, which editor is used - if oxygen is installed, no editor (no matter
whether java, text, C/C++) acts on the tabkey anymore!

So the only choice is, use M05 and not oxygen or vice versa...

Hi Jens,

Thanks for your message. Oxygen works fine with Eclipse 3.0 M1 up to M4. M5 was released last Friday but it was not available when we checked the download page. We will try it and fix eventual problems soon.

Best Regards,
George

I also found a problem in M5 when changing the configuration:
OxygenXML plugin:

Cannot save options because:
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError - org/eclipse/jface/text/IDocument
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/eclipse/jface/text/IDocument
at com.oxygenxml.editor.editors.b.a(Unknown Source)

More severe here...

I've seen the same problems listed above running Eclipse 3.0 M5 with Oxygen 2.04 under MacOS (10.3.1), but in addition, the Oxygen editor does not work at all. Whenever I try to invoke it on an XML or DTD file, etc, I receive an error that the editor could not be initialized because of the same ClassNotFoundException listed above.

I did not see these problems under M4, all other details the same.

Hi,

Eclipse 3.0 M5 contains changes that will brake almost any plugin that works on a previous Eclipse release. We will make available very soon, that is today or tomorrow, an oXygen kit supporting Eclipse 3.0 M5.

Best Regards,
George

Excellent - looking forward to using Oxygen within Eclipse again. Running it standalone is OK for now, but it's surprising how much more useful it is having the editing capabilities embedded in the IDE...

I spotted it earlier and installed it. So far no problems - the change in licensing scheme threw me for a minute, but then I noticed the instructions linked off of the download page.

FYI for those trying this, you need to cut-and-paste an eval license from the instructions into the dialog that pops up when you use the editor the first time. Your real license.zip won't work with it.

P.S. Thanks for the quick turnaround on this fix!
