Overview

Overview

The Oxygen AI Positron add-on provides an advanced solution for using AI assistance to enhance the documentation content creation process. By leveraging the power of AI platforms, the AI Positron streamlines and enhances the writing experience by providing a variety of useful AI based actions and features, the possibility to chat and refine responses, and lots of customization possibilities for defining new custom AI actions and behaviors.

Oxygen AI Positron Service

The add-on can be used with the Oxygen AI Positron Service, which in turn uses functionality from AI services such as OpenAI, Claude, or Vertex AI. This service is a subscription-based model and does not require any additional configuration so users can get started using the AI Positron immediately after installation. Users can create new subscription accounts or authenticate using their existing Google or Github accounts. The first subscription month is free and a monthly subscription can be purchased to receive a number of credits each month. The terms of use for the service can be found here. A list of AI models that are available for the AI Positron Service can be found at https://aipositron.oxygenxml.com#models.

Connect to Other AI Services

The add-on also allows you to configure a company-specific AI service. OpenAI, Microsoft Azure OpenAI, Claude, AWS Bedrock, Google Gemini, and xAI Grok are provided as default configuration options, but you can also connect to Google's Vertex AI Service by installing the Oxygen AI Positron Vertex AI Connector Add-on or you can configure a custom service by installing the Oxygen AI Positron Custom Connector Add-on.
