Setting the local directory

When the FTP connection is established, the local files list will automatically display the contents of the local directory specified on the Advanced tab.

Use the Default local directory: field to specify the starting local directory.
  1. Click the Advanced tab.
  2. In the Servertype field, select Default (Autodetect).
Even if you know your particular server type, it is better to choose Default (Autodetect) in case the server type changes during the life of the project.
  3. In the Default local directory: field, enter (or browse for) the name of the local directory used to store temporary data.

  4. Click OK.
    CAUTION:
Never enter your password when connecting to an FTP site from within the corporate firewall.
When the FTP connection is next established, the local files list will default to the directory name entered.
