Conventions for the otherprops attribute
By using a convention for recording values in the otherprops attribute, you can extend the amount of metadata stored.
The otherprops attribute can be used for storing any other metadata information that does not otherwise fit into the standard condition attributes (audience, platform, and product).
To extend the functionality of the
otherprops attribute, a naming convention can be used that
a processor can interpret and action. For example, settings of
otherprops="Market(Australia)"
and
otherprops="Publication(Symmetry)"
would allow the same
attribute to be used for a number of functions. In this example, a processor
could differentiate between
Market
and
Publication
.
