The importance attribute and related links

Setting the importance attribute of a link element in the related-links section in a task topic to required will result in the link appearing in the pre-requisites section of the topic.

When writing a task topic, you will often include a pre-requisites (prereq) element. In some cases, pre-requisites for the task will include other procedures, described in separate topics. Logically, these pre-requisite task topics should be linked to in the prereq block.

Rather than including a link to an associated topic in an xref element in the prereq block, you should create a link element in the related-links section, and then set the importance attribute of the link element to required. In typical output processing, this will result in the link being rendered at the end of the prereq block.
