[oXygen-user] How to get Oxygen to open files in Text view

Under Preferences > Author > Editor > Pages, I have set the initial page 
to Text, then saved and restarted Eclipse. I expected that this would 
have the effect of making new files open in Text view. However, new 
files still open in Author view. Why is that, and what can I do to make 
my files open in Text view?

P.S. Sorry, meant to add that this is Oxygen 11 running on Ubuntu 9.10.
