Hi Kris,
Thanks for the information. I wanted to use it for conditional processing, so I’d need a DITAVAL file.
Kind regards,
Judith

Hi, Judith.
It depends on what you are using the subject scheme to do. You can use subject scheme maps to do both the following tasks:
* Provide a pick list for selecting attribute values in Oxygen XML Editor.
* Perform conditional processing
If you want to perform conditional processing, you’ll need a DITAVAl file.
Best,
Kris

Subject: [oXygen-user] subjectSchemes and ditavals
Hi Oxygen experts,
I use Oxygen within the Ixiasoft Eclipse environment. For conditional values we have to use a Ditaval. Is it possible to use a subjectscheme that does not require a Ditaval file? A temp hire created a subjectscheme once, but you still have to use a ditaval as well. I thought that when you use a subjectscheme, the ditaval would no longer be necessary. Please let me know if you have any advice.
Thanks.
Kind regards,
Judith
