Thank you for your reply.  I personally haven't had to use anything more
recent than Subversion 1.8, so I will continue to use it.

I wasn't even aware of the version issue, and my main worry was that I
would have to keep an old version of Oxygen installed if the Subversion
client were to disappear from newer versions.
