[oXygen-user] In-place rename

Hello,

Oxygen has a bunch of "Rename <this/that>" actions, but most are only
available in a specific context. If you look in the list from Options >
"Menu Shortcut Keys" it's not immediately apparent where these actions
can be used. I guess we'll have to add an additional column with the
location or provide a description.
It's usually a better idea to look for an action in the menus and then
knowing the name of that action, look for it in the "Menu Shortcut
Keys". This way it's a lot easier to determine if it's the one you are
looking for.

To clarify:
- "Rename Component" (Alt+Shift+R) from the "Refactoring" category is an
action available only when editing XSD or XSL files. It's meant to
rename schema and stylesheet components.
- "Rename" from the "XML Refactoring" is an action available only in
Author mode and allows you to quickly rename the current element. You
can find this action in the Author mode contextual menu (the second item).
- there's also a "Rename Element" action in the "XML Refactoring"
category. This is available in both Text and Author mode (contextual
menu > Refactoring > Rename Element) and is a lot more powerful in that
it allows you to rename: the current element or all the sibling elements
with the same name or all elements from the document with the same name.

To answer your question, you're not doing anything wrong. Even though
you're using the same shortcut as "Rename Component" (Alt+Shift+R) the
two actions will not collide because they are available in completely
different contexts.

Regards,
Adrian
