[oXygen-user] Mounting ZIP as directory for project

Hello,

Unfortunately ZIP archives can only be opened in the Archive Browser and
cannot be mounted in the Project view to perform batch
validations/transformations on multiple files. Note however that you can
still perform validations, transformations and execute XPath on one file
at a time by opening them(from the Archive Browser) in the editor and
executing these operations there just like for any other file.

There is a workaround(somewhat awkward) that allows you to perform batch
operations on files from a ZIP archive. The problem with this workaround
is that you have to individually add(link) the files from the archive
to the Project.
The workaround is as follows:
1. Close all editors in Oxygen(to simplify things).
2. Open the ZIP archive(File -> Open should open it in the Archive Browser)
3. In the Archive Browser expand directories and and select each and all
of the files that you want to add to the project. To open them right
click(CTRL+click on the Mac) on a selected file and from the popup menu
choose Open. All the selected files from the archive will be opened in a
few seconds.
4. In the Project view create a logical folder in the project root(or in
another logical folder): New -> Logical Folder
5. Select the newly created logical folder in the Project view, right
click(CTRL+click on the Mac) on an editor tab from the editor area and
from the popup menu choose: Add All to Project
6. Now you can perform batch operations(validations/transformations) on
the files from the archive linked in the Project view.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

Regards,
Adrian
