[oXygen-user] Way to Open Files that Start with "." on OS X/Linux?

Hello Bob,
There is an option in <oXygen/> used to show hidden files (in
Options->Preferences->Global options page) but it is not available on
Mac OS X.
There is a known issue regarding the show of the hidden files and
directories in the Mac OS X file chooser.
If you have Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6), simply press
Shift-Command-Period to display hidden files and folders. This command
is a toggle; hidden files will be displayed as you navigate various
directories in the Open or Save dialog.
As an workaround you can open the hidden files by drag and drop them
from the Finder window into <oXygen/> XML Editor. To see these hidden
files and directories from the Finder, you can enter the following
command in the Terminal:
defaults write com.apple.Finder AppleShowAllFiles YES
To make the command take effect, you need to restart the Finder. One way
to do this is to hold down the Option key, then click and hold on the
Finder icon in the Dock. When the contextual menu appears, select
Relaunch and the Finder will restart.
Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions.
Best Regards,
Octavian
